When I started reading this book, I thought I knew exactly what a geisha was. I've found out there's a lot more to it than I thought. Even though this is fiction, the author spent a lot of time researching and has supposedly portrayed the geishas and the time period accurately. The book was very detailed and the characters were very interesting. I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. Here's a synopsis copied from Barnes and Noble:
